Lolo pointed out that patriarchal traditions have deeply rooted gender roles for a long time.

“I blame the patriarchy because these roles have existed for years. Men have always defined themselves as providers, while women have taken on nurturing roles,” she explained.

She questioned why more men seem to distance themselves from these roles in today’s society.

“His forefathers set these expectations, and I don’t understand why men are backing out of their responsibilities as providers,” Lolo remarked.

“We see more women taking on roles traditionally held by men. However, many men still resist nurturing at home,” she said.

Lolo shared her frustration about what she sees as a double standard. “Men often say women are too entitled and shouldn’t rely on them for everything. But when we ask men to switch roles, they hesitate to nurture. If you don’t want to be a provider, then step up and be a nurturer at home.”

She highlighted the need for adaptability in relationships. Both partners should be willing to share responsibilities, regardless of traditional roles.
