Toyosi Etim-Effiong, the founder of The Good Media, believes Nigeria is too small to fully contain the potential of Nollywood.
As the CEO of this media agency, Toyosi has been a passionate advocate for Nigerian films gaining international recognition.
In a recent chat with Nollywire during the Nile Entertainment Group launch, Toyosi shared her excitement about the future of Nollywood.
She expressed confidence that Nile Entertainmentâs new venture will make a significant impact on the industry.

âFor a long time, weâve been operating in a limited space, but now thereâs room for growth,â Toyosi said. âItâs fantastic to see Nile media stepping in and claiming their space.â
Toyosi hopes that the growing competition in Nollywood will lead to better pay for talented individuals in the industry.
âIâm excited to see talents getting better compensation for their work. More competition will help achieve that. Letâs put more money in peopleâs pockets,â she added.
She also spoke positively about the new cinematic venture by Moses Babatope of Nile and Mo Abudu of EbonyLife. âIâm thrilled about the idea of more cinemas, especially luxury ones.
Itâs great for job creation and expanding the reach of our content. The industry is growing,â Toyosi noted.
Toyosiâs collaboration with Essence, a platform promoting global Black stories, highlights her commitment to raising Nollywoodâs profile internationally.
She believes that Nigeria alone cannot contain Nollywoodâs global reach. âI partnered with Essence for three years to get Nollywood recognized worldwide.
Nigeria is too small to hold Nollywoodâs potential. We need more marketing. With Nile and their impressive team, Iâm confident they can package Nollywood for global recognition and rewards,â she concluded.
