Fans react after Davido spent #16 million on dinner at his cousin’s birthday party

Davido has been met with backlash and mixed reactions after he recently uploaded a bill he footed at his cousin’s (Tunji Adeleke) birthday party.

As many will remember, Davido’s cousin celebrated his birthday on April 27, 2023, and in honor of the occasion, Davido went on a shopping spree to mark the momentous occasion.

The husband to one took to his Instagram story where he posted the bill for his followers to see. He wrote: ’35k on birthday! I love you @Tungee’

Davido’s recent actions have received criticism from his fans and netizens, with many expressing their disapproval. A common sentiment is that his show of wealth was unnecessary, and that he could have celebrated his cousin’s birthday more discreetly without broadcasting it to the world.

Davido splashes millions a 2023 Mayback

Earlier this week, Singer Davido acquired a brand new 2023 Maybach Virgil Abloh.

Videos making rounds online captured the new car, which costs $530, 000 approximately N394 000 000 (Three hundred and ninety-four million naira).

Reports also have it that Davido’s new collection has only 150 manufactured, and the singer already has one in his possession.

Many took to social media to congratulate Davido and prayed to have such wealth.

Days ago, many compared Wizkid’s collection of cars to that of Davido who has only one of its kind in his possession.

It will be recalled that Nigerian singer and savvy businessman, Oluwatosin Ajibade popularly known as Mr Eazi left many hailing him over his latest acquisition.

The singer has sold his portfolio company, Vydia of his venture capital fund, Zagadat Capital, for $1 billion.

The $ 1 billion takeover was led by former Apple executive Larry Jackson through his newly founded multi-faceted company – gamma. Apple and Eldridge Industries and A24 are also listed as some of its investors.

The young VC fund announced its first exit after Gamma acquired its portfolio company Vydia; which has previously worked with artists including Akon, Kanye West, Mr. Eazi, and Anuel.

The deal is the biggest in the history of Afrobeats.

Following the news, many have taken to social media to hail the singer for his silent moves.
