Taaooma Recounts Memorable Moments as Mavin Turns 11
Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records, one of the leading record labels in Nigeria, marked its 11th anniversary on May 8, 2023. The renowned music executive expressed his gratitude to the fans, supporters, and well-wishers who have been with the label through thick and thin.
In a video montage, Don Jazzy featured past and present Mavin Records artists such as Tiwa Savage, Dr. Sid, Dija, Korede Bello, Rema, and Crayon, with a tribute song created by the current signees playing in the background. He also captioned the post on his social media page, thanking everyone for their unwavering support.
Reacting to the celebration, well-known skit maker and content creator Taaooma shared some of her favourite memories of the record label. She reminisced about some of the hit songs produced by Mavin Records, including “Dorobucci” and “Jantamanta.”
Taaooma also talked about how she had a massive crush on Korede Bello and how her friend Abula would argue with anyone who said Reekado Banks wasn’t Nigeria’s most talented artist. Furthermore, she mentioned how Dija’s song “Aww” made people fall in love anyhow.
