Watch Moment Portable Jumped Gate To Escape Police Arrest

In a recent video making rounds online, the Nigerian music scene was rocked by a dramatic encounter involving Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable.

The controversial singer found himself in a tight spot as he attempted to evade arrest by law enforcement officers.

The incident unfolded against the backdrop of allegations that Portable had failed to settle the outstanding balance for a luxurious G-Wagon vehicle he had purchased from a dealer.

According to reports, Portable had entered into a transaction with the dealer, agreeing to acquire the prestigious vehicle for a whopping N27 million. However, despite an initial payment of N13 million, he allegedly neglected to fulfill the remaining N14 million owed, despite repeated reminders and requests from the dealer. The frustration of the dealer reached a tipping point, prompting them to escalate the matter to the authorities.

Subsequently, law enforcement officers were detailed to investigate the case and apprehend Portable. The singer’s attempt to evade arrest unfolded in a tense standoff captured on video.

As the police closed in on him near a gate, Portable resorted to a desperate bid for freedom. In a daring move, he attempted to leap over the gate in a bid to escape the clutches of the law.

However, his efforts proved futile as the determined officers swiftly gave chase and managed to apprehend him. The video footage of the incident quickly spread across various online platforms, sparking widespread discussions and reactions within the Nigerian music and entertainment community.

Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, later confirmed Portable’s arrest, underscoring the seriousness with which law enforcement authorities address matters of financial dispute and non-compliance with contractual obligations. The incident serves as a reminder of the consequences individuals may face for failing to honor their financial commitments, regardless of their status or public persona.
