Afrobeats superstar Davido is stepping deeper into his artistry with his highly anticipated upcoming album ‘5ive’, set to drop on April 18.
The multi-award-winning singer revealed a fresh twist — he co-produced a couple of tracks on the project!
“With this album, I did a lot of co-production. We got back in that bag,” he shared.
The announcement comes just days after he unveiled the official tracklist for ‘5ive’, which features a global lineup of A-list collaborators.
From Nigeria to the Caribbean, U.S., France, and South Africa, Davido is clearly aiming to deliver a cross-continental smash. Nigerian stars Omah Lay, Victony, OdumoduBlvck, and Chike all feature — with Chike appearing on the fan-favorite single ‘Fund’.
On the international front, Jamaican breakout act YG Marley joins Davido on the soulful single ‘Awuke’, which dropped earlier this year as the album’s first teaser. Other Caribbean powerhouses like Shensea and 450 also feature.
Longtime friend and collaborator Chris Brown brings that R&B heat, alongside Victoria Monét (a 3-time Grammy winner) and Latin pop star Becky G, adding even more global flavor to the tracklist.
South African Amapiano maestro Musa Keys also makes a return after their hit ‘Unavailable’ from Timeless, which earned Davido a Grammy nomination.
Davido rounds out the album with French hitmakers Dadju and TayC, signaling his continued expansion into Francophone markets.
So far, Davido has released three singles off the album, including the latest Amapiano-infused party anthem ‘Be There Still’, which has quickly become a fan favorite.
As anticipation builds for ‘5ive’, one thing is clear: Davido is pushing boundaries — not just as a performer, but as a global creative force.
