According to Obi Won, his passion for music started during his teenage years. At that time, he joined a band that featured future stars such as Flavour, 2Baba, and the late Klint the Drunk. The group performed regularly and built momentum within the local music scene. However, despite the growing excitement, challenges quickly surfaced.

Obi Won explained that the band’s performances were mostly in clubs, a setting his mother strongly opposed. Because she did not permit him to attend late night shows, he struggled to keep up with rehearsals and live gigs. As a result, he made the difficult decision to step away from the band and put his music dreams on hold.

A musician who paused, not quit. What happened was a shift in timing, not talent. This occur during his formative years, As Family values took priorityObi Won later moved into banking, trading stage lights for office hours. Still, music never left his system.
