Speaking about the brothers’ strained relationship, Daddy Showkey revealed that he personally tried to mediate between the former P-Square members on several occasions. However, despite his efforts, the disagreements between the siblings remained unresolved.
However, his attempts did not produce the outcome he hoped for.
The veteran entertainer explained that both brothers remained firm in their positions. As a result, his efforts to get them to compromise did not succeed.
That revelation adds another layer to the P-Square story. While fans often focus on the public disagreements, people close to the situation have also tried to encourage reconciliation behind the scenes.
Still, getting two people to settle a deeply personal disagreement is never as simple as telling them to shake hands and move on.
P-Square fans continue to hope Paul and Peter Okoye can eventually settle their differences.
Why the P-Square Rift Still Matters
P-Square became a major force in Nigerian music through their energetic performances, memorable videos, and string of hit songs.
For years, Paul and Peter worked together as a duo and built a fan base that stretched well beyond Nigeria. Their eventual separation therefore came as a major disappointment to many supporters.
Consequently, comments from respected figures such as Daddy Showkey continue to attract attention because they show that the situation has affected more than just the two brothers.
Nevertheless, the door may not be completely closed. Families fall out, egos clash, and sometimes time creates the space needed for people to see things differently.
For P-Square fans, that hope remains alive.
Whether Paul and Peter eventually put their differences aside remains uncertain. However, one thing is clear: many Nigerians still want to see the brothers find their way back to each other, both as family and, perhaps one day, as P-Square.
