Basketmouth reacts after Oyedepo says people who don’t pay tithe are under a curse
Ace comedian, Basketmouth has reacted to Bishop David Oyedepo’s statement on tithing. Oyedepo had earlier stated that anyone who doesn’t pay tithe is “under a financial curse” and can never prosper.
Reacting to the clergyman’s statement, Basketmouth said that the church threatens people to pay tithe after the threat of the government about tax payment.
Expressing his displeasure at the tweet of Bishop Oyedepo, Basketmouth noted the condition of the country’s economy and the rate of unemployment.
“The Govt will threaten us with prosecution if we don’t pay our TAX & VAT. The CHURCH will now threaten us with a FINANCIAL CURSE if you don’t pay your TITHE! Inside the TERRIBLE ECONOMY? With the LEVEL OF UNEMPLOYMENT?ABEGI,” he said.
