Big Brother Naija alumnus Hermes Iyele has announced the tragic passing of his mother, Isioma. On November 6, 2024, he shared the heartbreaking news with his followers on social media. In his post, Hermes revealed that his mother passed away on November 5, 2024, and explained that he felt compelled to make the news public to begin his mourning process.
Hermes posted photos of his late mother and included an account number, requesting financial assistance for funeral arrangements. He wrote, “With the heaviest of hearts, I’d like to make public the passing of my beloved mum, ISIOMA PHEBIAN IYELE, on the 5th of November 2024.” He added, “I’m doing this so I can properly start my grief and because I currently lack the strength or capacity (mentally and financially) to handle this situation.”

The reality star also shared the difficult circumstances surrounding the news of his mother’s death, revealing that he received the devastating call while on a work trip. “I’m currently on a work trip and got the news in transit,” he explained. “I’m trying as much as I can to function in the regard of duty that has brought me here, whilst trying to do my part of what needs to be done to see this tragedy through. So please be patient with me as I won’t be able to respond to calls and texts for the time being. We will start the burial process as soon as I’m back.”
Hermes requested understanding from his fans during this painful time, asking for their support and prayers as he and his siblings navigate the loss of their mother.
