Burna Boy, Teni, others shine at Soundcity MVP awards

The Soundcity MVP Awards festival was held on January 5, 2019 and the annual event’s aim is to recognise outstanding personalities in Africa, particularly in music.

One of the stars to win big at the event is Burna Boy seeing as he went home with four major awards which includes the Best Male MVP, Listener’s choice, Artiste of the year and the Song of the year award. Though he was not present to personally receive his plaques, his mother did the honours.

Another musician to win big is the Askamaya crooner, Teni. She went home with the Best New Artiste award.
