PCBs, otherwise known as transformer oil, are widely used in electrical equipment.
According to NAN, the federal government is working towards prosecuting those who use PCBs for frying akara, puff puff and buns.
The consumption exposes the public to cancer of the lungs, heart, kidney and liver diseases.
