The intrinsic nature of legendary fuji musician, Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Barrister, will come alive on Saturday, when his fans celebrate his 70th posthumous birthday in Lagos.
The event is scheduled to hold at Shodex Garden, Anthony Village area of Ikorodu Road and is being organised by the Ayinde Barrister Legacy Club.
Apart from an anticipated rain of tributes, a fuji artiste, said to be propagating Barrister’s style, Taju System, will perform.
Members of his family, associates and musicians are expected to grace the occasion.
Among the artistes expected are Chief Ebenezer Obey, Kollington Ayinla, Saheed Osupa, Alabi Pasuma and a big fan like Alhaji Adisa Osiefa, whom Barrister celebrated in many of his songs.
Osiefa told The Punch on Thursday night that the event was about the celebration of the life of the fuji exponent, who he described as one of the greatest musicians that the world has produced.
