Ice Spice Drops Fiery New Track ‘Did It First’ Featuring Central Cee

Written by on July 12, 2024

Ice Spice and Central Cee have teamed up for a new song called “Did It First,” released today (July 12). This track is the fourth preview of Ice Spice’s highly anticipated debut album ‘Y2K’.

The song, along with its music video, is short, clocking in at just under two minutes. In it, both rappers deliver intense verses warning against cheating.

“Did It First” is the fourth song to be released from Ice Spice’s upcoming album. It follows “Think U the Sh*t (Fart)”, “Gimme a Light”, and “Phat Butt”. ‘Y2K’ is set to come out on July 26.

Earlier this month, Ice Spice hinted about a possible collaboration with Taylor Swift, saying, “I don’t know, we’ll see, we’ll see.”

Later this month, she will start a series of headlining shows across North America, supported by Cash Cobain through late August. Fans can buy and sell tickets for Ice Spice’s shows on the Viagogo global marketplace.

‘Y2K’ follows Ice Spice’s EP ‘Like..?’ released in January 2023, which featured viral hits like ‘Munch (Feelin’ U)’ and ‘In Ha Mood’. The EP was given four stars, praising Ice Spice’s witty style and confident demeanour.

“The journey is still long for Ice Spice, and navigating the post-viral breakout period is crucial. Longevity seems possible, but casual listeners and some fans remain uncertain,” wrote Thomas Smith. “On ‘Like…?’, she appears unconcerned about chasing fame or fans – she believes they will come in time anyway.”
