Kaestyle Drops Bold New EP ‘Rookies Don’t Sound This Good’
Fast-rising Afrobeats star Kaestyle has dropped a fresh three-track EP titled Rookies Don’t Sound This Good, shortly after his appearance at the 17th Headies Awards. Though nominated for Rookie of the Year, he didn’t win the category—but he isn’t slowing down.

Kaestyle uses this new project to prove that his sound goes far beyond rookie status. Fusing multiple genres and rich cultural influences, he delivers a confident statement of intent with each track.
The EP opens with ‘Chineke’, featuring emerging act Starsamm. In the song, Kaestyle admits how overwhelmed he feels by love—so much so that only God (Chineke) can save him. The vibe is light, playful, and deeply relatable.
Next is ‘How Much’, where Kaestyle explores the emotional blur between desire, temptation, and affection. The upbeat production highlights his ability to make catchy, hit-worthy music while staying authentic.
He closes the project with ‘A.O.M.G (Ahead of My Game)’, reflecting on his rise from humble beginnings. With sharp lyrics and calm confidence, he lays out his journey and ambition with clarity.
Despite missing out at the Headies, Kaestyle showed maturity by congratulating the winner. He also pointed out that his hit collaboration with labelmate Omah Lay deserved recognition in the Best Collaboration category.
With Rookies Don’t Sound This Good, Kaestyle sends a clear message—he’s not here to compete for beginner titles. He’s here to dominate.
