According to eyewitnesses and early reports, Lil Kesh was attacked by unidentified armed men near Lekki Phase 1 at around 11:45 PM. The robbers allegedly demanded his valuables and stabbed him in the arm during the confrontation.

The incident occurred in Lekki, a high-brow area in Lagos, known for nightlife and celebrity sightings. The attack happened late on August 20, 2025, shortly after the artist left a private event.

The victim, Keshinro Ololade, popularly known as Lil Kesh, rose to fame with his hit single Shoki. He was reportedly alone at the time of the incident. Authorities have not yet identified the attackers, but an investigation is ongoing.

While the motive appears to be armed robbery, some sources suggest the rapper might have been followed. Police are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby buildings to confirm the sequence of events.

Lil Kesh was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment. Doctors confirmed that the stab wound is not life-threatening, and he is stable. His management has yet to release an official statement, but a close associate confirmed the attack.

The Lagos State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the suspects. Residents and fans are urged to remain alert as the city sees a rise in celebrity-targeted crimes.
