May Yul-Edochie Cheers for Her ‘Wives on Strike’ Debut

May Yul-Edochie, the former wife of Nollywood actor Yul Edochie, is buzzing with excitement over her Nollywood debut in Omoni Oboli’s highly anticipated thriller, WivesOnStrike 3: The Uprising.

After a challenging year, May’s new role marks a significant milestone in her career, and the support from fans and industry peers has been overwhelming.

On August 13, 2024, Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli took to Instagram to unveil the trailer for WivesOnStrike 3: The Uprising.

The film’s trailer quickly captured the attention of fans, including May Yul-Edochie, who shared her excitement in the comments section. She wrote, “I finally got to feature in a movie, and it’s The Uprising! “It’s a must-watch because it packs in great content!”

This film debut comes on the heels of a difficult period for May. In August 2023, she and Yul Edochie divorced due to allegations of adultery. They married under the 1970 Marriage Act, which prohibits having multiple spouses. In addition to the divorce, May also sued Yul and his second wife, Judy Austin, for ₦100 million in damages. Meanwhile, during the legal proceedings, the renowned Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, and the Eculaw group represented May.
