Mayorkun Gets His Share Of SARS’ Harassment

The operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad have done it again. This time, it’s with singer, Mayorkun.
The DMW singer was scheduled to have an interview with OAP, Dotun on Thursday June 14 but the interview could not hold because SARS officers disrupted it and caught Mayorkun.
The SARS officers, in their fight against fraud in the Country, have become infamous for their brutality and oppression of innocent young Nigerians with claims that they are fraudsters.
Mayorkun took to Twitter to say a prayer against harassment from the hands of SARS officers. He tweeted:

The tweet was still fresh when comments started to troop in. One of the comments was made by popular radio personality, Dotun who revealed the reason behind Mayorkun’s unusual prayer against SARS harassment.

Dotun revealed in his tweet that he was scheduled to have an interview with Mayorkun yesterday but the interview did not hold because SARS officers ‘caught’ the singer. From the tweets, it can be deduced that Mayorkun was made a victim of harassment by SARS officers.

Mayorkun has now joined the likes of Reekado Banks, Falz, Dr SID, Simi and others on the list of artistes who have been harassed by SARS officers.
The illicit actions of SARS officials has caused public outrage and led to the call for the unit of the police to be scrapped.
