Netflix has unveiled the trailer and premiere date for the highly anticipated Nollywood movie, House of Ga’a. It will debut on the streaming service on July 26, 2024.
Produced in collaboration with Netflix, House of Ga’a is directed by Bolanle Austen-Peters.
The film portrays the life of Bashorun Ga’a, set in the 18th-century Oyo Empire. Bolanle Austen-Peters, known for her award-winning work in theatre and film, directs this historical drama exploring power, betrayal, and a lasting legacy.
People celebrate Bolanle Austen-Peters for her contributions to Nigerian arts and culture. Her previous works include acclaimed movies like Man of God and Bling Lagosians.
The cast of House of Ga’a includes prominent Nollywood stars such as Femi Branch, Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, and Ibrahim Chatta, among others.
Austen-Peters first hinted at the project in May 2023, sharing her excitement as filming began.
House of Ga’a promises to captivate audiences with its gripping narrative and stellar performances when it premieres this July on Netflix.
