Oloture: The Journey’ by Mo Abudu Ranks in Netflix’s Top 10

“Oloture: The Journey,” from Mo Abudu’s EbonyLife Studios’ 2019 film, amassed 1.7 million views and 3.2 million watch hours from July 1 to 7, 2024. Abudu announced this on Instagram on July 10, 2024.

The series quickly entered Netflix’s top 10 global charts, debuting at number 6 with 1,700,000 views and 3,200,000 hours watched.

Directed by Kenneth Gyang, the thriller follows an undercover journalist exposing a sex trafficking ring. Sharon Ooja Nwoke stars as Oloture, premiering on Netflix on June 28, 2024.

Abudu praised the series’ global success, calling it “incredible to see Nigerian TV on the world stage!” She highlighted previous hits like “Blood Sisters” in Netflix’s top charts.

Since 2006, Mo Abudu’s “Moments with Mo” launched EbonyLife Films in 2015 with “Fifty.” Expanding to EbonyLife Cinemas, Place, and Academy, Abudu produced hits like “The Wedding Party” and “Elesin Oba: The King’s Horseman.”
