American singer/songwriter Pink’s star power has risen to the next level in the United Kingdom, as she has been named the most played female artist in the UK this century.

This is happening according to a new report published by Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL) and based on airplay data from UK radio stations and television channels since the year 2000.

Taking the number two spot on the list is Madonna following a four-decade career. In third place is Katy Perry, whose third album Teenage Dream was one of the most popular albums of the 2010s, while Rihanna and Lady Gaga are fourth and fifth respectively.

Representing the United Kingdom on the list are Adele, who is in sixth place, and Little Mix, who claim the ninth position.

Other artistes that made the top twenty list of most played female artistes of the 21st century in the UK include, Beyonce, Whitney Houston, Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Dua Lipa, Christina Aguilera, Diana Ross, Ariana Grande and others.

Pink has so far racked up thirty-six top forty hits in the U.K., including three number one songs. Her studio albums have accumulated thirteen platinum awards in the U.K and, at the 2019 BRIT Awards, she was awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Music.
