Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt and Husband Opens Up on their Decision to Be Sterilized

American girl group and dance ensemble, Pussycat Doll Kimberley Wyatt have opened up about the reason why she and her husband chose to get sterilized following the birth of their third child.

The 39-year-old singer and dancer who joined ITV’s Loose Women alongside her husband Max discussed her efforts swapping high-kicks to high-chairs just to become a mother of three young children.

In an interview, Kimberly opened up about their decision to get sterilized following the surprise arrival of their third child, Senna in 2019.

“Sustainability is such a big part of our focus as a couple and as a family, and we’d had our two children and we were really quite happy. We talked about waiting 6-8 years, having the conversation and just being certain that we were done. But within just a year or so of having the second one, we were like, ‘You know what, I think we’re pretty much complete’ until number three showed up.”

Kimberly says “To make sure we don’t have any more, of course when I had my third caesarean, we made sure to get sterilized.”

Female sterilization is a pregnancy preventative that helps to block or seal the fallopian tubes that link the ovaries to the womb. This can be done by applying clamps or rings to the tubes and cutting small parts of them away.

“I can remember the last thing I said to the doctor was ‘Clamp ’em hard, Jane!’ – I definitely knew I was done having children.” The pair were engaged two years later and eventually married in a private ceremony in February 2014.

During the interview, Max explains “We didn’t realize that Kim could be sterilized whilst she was having a C-section. “The conversation went as far as I was going to have a vasectomy, and it didn’t seem like that big of a deal. It seemed like the sensible thing to do”

“Shortly before Kim had the third C-section, we were told that actually, it’s quite a relatively straightforward procedure. I watched it happen and it didn’t seem that straightforward!”

Max revealed that he plans to undergo male sterilization in the coming months, due to the inability to do whilst in Covid-19 circumstances.

A vasectomy is a surgical procedure whereby the tubes that carry a man’s sperm are cut or blocked in order to permanently prevent pregnancy.

“So Kim took that option, and then I’m left here having made my decision for the family and for myself, and I sort-of felt slightly let off the hook, and I didn’t feel the need to change my plans.”

The couple added.
