RIHANNA BECOMES BARBADOS’ NATIONAL HERO

The island of Barbados has officially become a republic as they have replaced Queen Elizabeth II as its head of state.
The new era was celebrated by hundreds of citizens and also a special recognition of Rihanna as the National Hero of Barbados.
Rihanna who was born in Saint Michael, and grew up in Bridgetown Barbados, was conferred the honour by The Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley. Take a look at the conferment.

Just so you know, this is not Rihanna’s first laurel in Barbados, in 2018, she received the honorary title of Ambassador for Culture and Youth in Barbados.
Rihanna now becomes the 11th National Hero of Barbados, and also the second woman to ever receive the honour.
