Lovers of the hip-hop group Fugees which comprises of LaurynHill, Wyclef Jean and Pras Michel should be excited as they will be going on tour together for the first time in twenty-five years.

The group made the announcement that they will be going on a world tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their 1996 album ‘The Score’.

The twelve city tour already kicked off yesterday at an undisclosed location in New York, while the rest of the tour will continue on November 2 in Chicago, and of course various cities across the U.S. before coming to Ghana and most definitely Nigeria.

Despite only releasing two albums together, The Fugees legacy is filled with classic records, which have become a staple for sampling in Hip-Hop.

After the group went on their first break, Lauryn Hill went on an incredible early solo run, which produced the classic album, “Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”, which won five Grammy awards in one night.

Wyclef Jean has also become a cultural staple, with several platinum records, and strong affiliations to Nigeria.

Speaking on their reunion, Wyclef Jean expressed his gratefulness to be able to hit the stage with his group mates after such a long hiatus.

He stated, “As I celebrate 25 years with the Fugees, my first memory was that we vowed, from the gate, we would not just do music we would be a movement, we would be a voice for the unheard, and in these challenging times, I am grateful once again, that God has brought us together.”
