Yul Edochie – “You’re still my friend even if you don’t believe in Jesus”

Written by on February 20, 2024

Actor and recently turned pastor Yul Edochie shared his thoughts on friendships and Christianity via his Instagram story.

He stated that if he considered someone a friend, they remained a friend regardless of their religious beliefs. It didn’t matter whether they were Christian, Muslim, traditionalist, or pagan.

Edochie emphasized that even if he tried to preach to someone about Jesus Christ and they didn’t believe him, he would still maintain the friendship without discrimination.

He further expressed that what keeps human beings together as friends was our like minds and love we have for humanity.

In his words, he said,

“if you are my friend, you are my friend, whether you are Christian, Muslim, traditionalist, pagan. If I tell you about Jesus and you don’t believe me, you are still my friend. I don’t discriminate. What keeps us together as friends is the like minds we have and the love we have for humanity.”

Just a few days ago, news surfaced that Yul Edochie had shared insights into why he couldn’t hold a ministerial service on Sunday.

He elaborated that unforeseen circumstances had prevented him from meeting the necessary requirements to conduct the service as planned.

However, speculation arose among netizens, linking his absence to alcohol consumption. Last week, it was reported that Judy Austin and Yul Edochie stirred discussion after a viral video showed them drinking alcohol while dancing.

This was surprising given his newfound ministerial path. On February 1st, Yul Edochie announced his foray into ministry with great excitement. He declared his intention to conduct an online service every Sunday, inviting netizens and fans to participate.
