The beat of Africa returns to its cultural capital. From November 25–30, 2025, the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) will be hosted in Lagos, Nigeria, marking the seventh time the vibrant city takes center stage for the continent’s most iconic music celebration.

Lagos to Host AFRIMA 2025 – Africa’s Biggest Music Awards
The news was revealed during the AFRIMA 2025 Music Conference and Host City Unveiling held on May 13 at the African Union Commission Secretariat in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This year’s theme, “Unstoppable Africa,” sets the tone for a celebration that recognizes not only artistic excellence but also Africa’s unstoppable rise in global music and culture.
While AFRIMA is best known for honoring Africa’s top musical talent, AFRIMA President Mike Dada emphasized that this year’s edition goes further. Speaking at the unveiling, he shared the organization’s plan to train 1.2 million young Africans over the next five years in music production, event planning, music tech, and related fields.
“It’s about creating real impact,” Dada said. “We’re building a sustainable future for Africa’s music industry.”
