“I Regret Saying No to Don Jazzy”—Bigiano Opens Up on Missed Mo’Hits Opportunity

Veteran Nigerian singer Bigiano has made a shocking revelation that’s sparking buzz across Afrobeats circles — he once turned down an offer to join Don Jazzy’s iconic Mo’Hits Records and now deeply regrets it.

The Shayo crooner, whose real name is Babalola Oluwagbemiga Gabriel, shared this during a recent interview on the One One podcast. According to him, Don Jazzy personally asked him to join the Mo’Hits crew at the peak of his fame in 2010, but he declined, believing he had already made it as an independent artist.

“Don Jazzy asked me, ‘Do you want to join Mo’Hits?’ And instead of saying yes, my little mind — thinking I had arrived — said no,” Bigiano confessed.

He explained that D’banj had introduced him to Sunday Are and arranged a meeting at the Mo’Hits mansion, where top stars like Wande Coal were also present.

Bigiano said he regrets rejecting the deal, calling it the biggest mistake of his music career, as Mo’Hits launched the careers of some of Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeats stars.

“If I had accepted that offer, it would have changed everything,” he added.

This revelation has stirred massive reactions on social media, with fans reflecting on how different Bigiano’s music journey might have been under Don Jazzy’s mentorship.
