Instagram comedian and actor, Abdulgafar Ahmad popularly known as Cute Abiola has been released from detention by the Navy.

Abiola had been in detention for violating some of the codes of conduct of the security agency.

Review that Abiola was said to have been absent on Monday, November 15, 2021, when his partner in the satire business, Mr Macaroni, raised the alert that he was nowhere to be found, after filing a report at his office in Navy Town, Lagos, that very day.

A statement was released on November 17, Suleman Dahun,  representative of the Chief of Navy Staff said the comedian was not missing yet rather was in their custody for breaking the Armed social media rules. He was kept for posting a video of himself in military uniform online, a demonstration that is said to be supposed to be in violation of the military’s online strategy.

Dahun said the humorist is at this point not in maritime confinement as he has been delivered to serve his discipline.
