I’m a very big fan of the Igbo culture. – DJ Kaywise

Nigerian Disc Jockey, Ayorinde Kehinde – popularly known as DJ Kaywise – recently revealed just how pleased he was to work with Phyno.
While on MaxFM’s number one radio show – Wetindey with Wale Powpowpow – he was asked why he chose to work with Phyno, instead of any other artist, to which he replied:

“When I started my career, I used to work in Alaba market… Everybody who helped raise me up, to who I am today, are Igbo boys in Alaba. I’m a very big fan of the Igbo culture, so that’s why I chose to work with Phyno.”

“Phyno called me to link up with him, that he had a song for me… So we went to the studio, together, and created the now-popular ‘High Way.” I ensured everything came out well – particularly to my satisfaction, as a DJ. Upon completion of production, we dropped the song and the response has been amazing.”

During the show, Kaywise was asked if he sees himself as a perfectionist:
“Yes, I see myself as a perfectionist because I must be 100% ok with any project, before putting it out,” he replied.

On a personal level, DJ Kaywise revealed that he had issues with his Dad, when he started doing music. He, however, promised his father that he’ll still be that son who goes to church, plays the drums in church, and still does everything right in the sight of God.”
