As a result of not being able to live with her granny, Angel said that she decided to leave the house, to fend for herself.

Leaving the house, she got admitted into the University of Lagos, where according to her, she stayed just for two weeks. She also noted that she can’t explain how she navigated through life but she’s grateful for where she is today.

Angel said, “I think it was really chaotic growing up. You know, I went to the strictest missionary school. The standard for education there was very high. I think ‘A’ there was like 96, 97 if I’m not mistaken.

“So, yeah, and I also grew up with my granny because everybody knows my parents had me relatively early. And my granny and I didn’t really get along. I was out of the house once I was 17. I left the house.

When asked where she went to after leaving the house, Angel continued, “At the time, I had only gotten admission into the University of Lagos. So, I basically started hustling for myself, I started writing for people. They will be paying me all these little breadcrumbs I’ll be using to survive while being out of my parent’s house.

“I can’t really tell how I navigated my life from there, but Thank God we’re here today.”
