Funke Akindele achieved an unprecedented feat, making her film the first Nollywood production to surpass a billion naira in record time—totaling an impressive one billion, sixty million, seven hundred and eleven thousand, four hundred and ninety-one.

On Wikipedia’s Nollywood grossing table, Funke Akindele’s films, including “A Tribe Called Judah,” “Battle On Buka Street,” and “Omo Ghetto The Saga,” now claim the top spots as the highest-grossing Nollywood films of all time.

Expressing her gratitude, Funke Akindele took to Instagram with an official appreciation post, extending her thanks to God, Nigerians, and viewers from around the world where her movie is currently streaming. This accomplishment not only marks a personal success for Akindele but also stands as a significant milestone in Nollywood’s history.

Her ex, JJC Skillz took to the comment section to applaud her victory. He expressed pride in her die smashing the box office again.

Recall that it’s over a year ago that JJC Skillz announced his separation from Funke Akindele. The filmmaker disclosed that they were ending their marriage over irreconcilable differences.
