UEFA fines Barcelona for fans’ racist behavior

This penalty was a direct consequence of the unacceptable racist conduct displayed by some of the Catalan club’s fans during a high-stakes Champions League quarter-final clash against Paris Saint-Germain. In addition to the financial penalty, UEFA delivered another blow to Barcelona by imposing a ban on the sale of tickets to their supporters for the next European fixture away from home. “The UEFA Appeals Body has decided to fine FC Barcelona 25,000 euros and to ban FC Barcelona from selling tickets to its away supporters for its next UEFA competition match, for the racist behavior of its supporters,” UEFA said.
