Nigerian singer Johnny Drille recently shared how becoming a father changed his view on life—and made him appreciate his parents like never before.
Johnny welcomed his first child in November 2023, and since then, he has viewed the world from a fresh perspective.
In a recent interview with Dose of Society, the Mavin Records artist said he puts family first in everything he does.
“I would drop anything anywhere in the world if my family needs me,” Johnny explained.
He recalled how his parents worked hard to protect him and his siblings from tough times.
“We didn’t have much, and sometimes we had no food. But my parents always figured out how to provide. They made it feel fun, even when it was hard,” Johnny said.
Now, with a daughter of his own, Johnny understands what it takes to nurture someone.
“Having a child changed my life in the most incredible ways. I appreciate my parents even more,” he added.
Johnny always turns to family when life gets overwhelming, and fatherhood only deepened his commitment to them.
He dreams of giving back to his parents and showing them the world.
