Kanye West is back in the news again as usual, but this time it’s not about Kim Kardashian, but of course, it is somewhat related.

The rapper who has never been one to compromise his music or visuals to please other people was called out online after the new video by fellow rapper The Game and himself titled ‘Eazy’ made its way to YouTube.

Critics condemned Kanye for his depiction of Pete Davidson (Kim’s new boyfriend) as an animated character that gets beheaded and buried in the video.

Responding to the backlash that he received for that act, Kanye took to his Instagram page in a now-deleted post, sharing a post from the video with the caption, “Art is therapy just like this view. Art is protected as freedom of speech. Art inspires and simplifies the world. Art is not a proxy for any ill or harm. Any suggestion otherwise about my art is false and mal intended.”

In a separate post, Kanye further states that he now feels compromised for having to explain his art.

In the post which had the word DEAD, the rapper wrote, “I feel already compromised that I have to justify my expression after over 20 years of art that I’ve contributed to the planet, but I also see the need to make sure we as a species are allowed to still feel anything. Men not allowed to cry, celebrities not allowed to cry, I will not explain this new piece for the explanation destroys the mystery and magic of true love and puts it in a box that can be counted. Art is subjective. Art only works when it is the artist absolute truth. Someone’s truth can be another person’s lie. We don’t all have to feel the same because we are not the same. Without further ado, I present to you my latest creation it is called DEAD.”
