Kemi Olunloyo Writes Open Letter to Davido Over Alleged Child He Denied 10 Years Ago

Controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, has written an open letter to Nigerian singer, Davido, over a child he allegedly denied 10 years ago. In the letter, Olunloyo revealed that Davido’s late mother appeared to her in a dream, asking her to reach out to him to organize his household regarding her grandchildren, especially Anu, his alleged first daughter.

Olunloyo claimed that Davido had denied Anu, born to a one-night stand prostitute named Ayotomide Labinjo in 2013, after initially denying the fact that he slept with her and refusing to take a DNA test. According to Olunloyo, Davido’s late mother, who she calls Verolmade, said that Anu looks like all of them in the Adeleke family and urged Davido to organize a new DNA test to ascertain if the child is his.

Olunloyo added that she has been taking care of Anu and her mother since 2018, after Davido refused to help. She also stated that all she wants is a new DNA test to know if Anu was fathered by Davido.

Kemi writes;

“Last night I heard Verolmade’s (My nickname for your late mom) voice in my dream and I had to write this today. I am appealing to you to read this. Your mother sent me to you. Organize your household regarding her grandchildren. I saw Ifeanyi on her lap feeding him.

Five years later l am begging you to do a DNA test for Anu. She is now 10yr. When I met her in Ibadan October 20th 2018, I showed her to the world, you ignored her press conference even saying how could you accept a child born to a one night stand prostitute? A child was conceived that night.

This child looks like all of you in your family. She’s an Adeleke. Do not regret what happened with Larissa’s son.

I met Anu poor, no school education and promptly registered her in school, paid fees and gave her 10K/mo child support for a year, opened a kiddie account for her that I will hand over signatory to her at 18yo. Though Ayo still insists she knows who she slept with, I was even asking for Bayo and you to submit for DNA then.”

Kemi added that the Singer’s late mum wants him to make amends and her and (Kemi Olunloyo) is ready to organize a DNA test to be carried out ‘independently’ by both parties.

Kemi’s words;

“Verolmade wants you to accept the call for the DNA test. I will I organize it independently if you want. Children are a gift of God. See how beautiful your kids are. Congratulations on your new son I heard. God bless your hustle”

The journalist also shared picture of Davido’s alleged Babymama, and photo with his alleged daughter via her Facebook pages.

While some netizens have criticized Olunloyo’s actions, others have urged Davido to do the right thing and accept his alleged daughter. Some have also suggested that Davido should come out and address the issue to put it to rest once and for all.

It’s worth noting that Davido has not responded to Olunloyo’s open letter or made any public statement on the matter. However, this is not the first time Davido has been accused of fathering a child out of wedlock. In 2020, a lady named Larissa Yasmin Lorenco claimed that Davido fathered her son, but the singer denied it.

The issue of paternity fraud is a sensitive one that has caused a lot of controversy and arguments on social media. While some people believe that men should take responsibility for their actions and own up to their children, others believe that women should also be held accountable for their actions and not try to trick men into taking responsibility for children that are not theirs.
