Lady identified as Mummy Bimz has reportedly gone missing after she allegedly stole the money contributed for the former Big Brother Naija season 6 Shine Ya Eye star, Pere Egbi.

Pere’s supporters took to the micro-blogging platform to call the lady out, as they tag her Twitter handle, mandating her to return over N5 million naira contributed and transferred into her bank account.

One of Pere’s supporters who first alerted the general public noted that Mummy Bimz created a VVIP WhatsApp forum on Pere’s behalf, where most of the reality star’s fans joined and contributed money for Pere’s upkeep.

The supporter continued that shortly after the contribution was made, the lady announced that she would be dissolving the VVIP forum, perhaps the realized money will be transferred into Pere’s bank account. But as she speaks, Mrs Bimz hasn’t transferred the money and she couldn’t be reached through her contact channels.

@perestanaccout: “Greetings Mummy Bim (@mummybimz) as I fondly called you. You created the VVIP group, we joined, and paid money for Pere. For personal reasons, you dissolved the group and promised to send the money to Pere, but he hasn’t gotten it yet. Can you please send him the money? Thank u.”

Below is the statement Mummy Bimz posted on the VVIP forum before dissolving it.

Mummy Bimz: “What more can I say, it’s been a long journey. Whatever has a beginning has an end. I didn’t plan for it to end so soon but my family has kicked against this going further. I did my best and wish the General good luck in all he does.

“Will be praying for him. You can join any of the new groups created to keep supporting Pere. I have asked his PA to forward the General’s account details, so that Mary can transfer our group’s donation to him directly as soon as she is out of here.

“Hopefully our effort will be useful in assisting him when he is ready to get his place. I will still communicate with you all in your dms to Check on you and would still hold you all dear to my heart. Thank you all sincerely from the bottom of my heart. You all are the best support system anyone could have.”

Following the fear and confusion, Pere’s supporters come online urging Mummy Bimz to return their money, or pay it into Pere’s bank account, like she promised.

Identified as @Fundavies1, this fan of Pere advised the first supporter who initiated the callout to reach out to Mummy Bimz through her contact.

@Fundavies1: “Someone that hasn’t been on Twitter since January 2022 is the one you all are tagging to reply to the allegation by returning the money, una no get her phone number ni.”

@BeYouAllDay, replying to @Fundavies1 tweeted, “She comes online. She has blocked those that were working with her and she blocks you immediately if you send her a dm or try calling her to remind her of the money.

Another supporter, @BlessingUgonma1 joins voice, as she also confirmed that Pere’s supporters contributed over N5 million for him, but Bimz has decided to use the money for her family’s business.

@BlessingUgonma1 wrote: “Madam Bim @mummybimz or whatever you call your self, we’ve tried to settle this matter amicably but it seems your village people don’t want to leave you.

“Kindly return patriots hard earn money we contributed into your account or Madam Bim @mummybimz you’re a thief you have been using BBN as family business, kindly return money that patriots contributed. Ole barawo, onyeosi!!

“Some people have used this BBN as family business like @mummybimz, guys beware of this woman. How can one creature Japa with people’s hard earn money? Over 5mil. This is not fair na. Madam Bim @mummybimz kindly return patriots money.”

This controversy is coming days after Pere announced acquisition of his first ever car, a Lexus SUV, as a reality television star.
