SQUID GAME BECOMES NETFLIX’S BIGGEST TV SHOW LAUNCH OF ALL TIME

American production company and streaming platform Netflix have announced the popular Korean television series Squid Game as their biggest TV show launch of all time, with one hundred and eleven million people watching the show since its debut on September 17.

According to Netflix, this new record now surpasses the eighty-two million accounts that watched Bridgerton in the shows first twenty-eight days.

Just so you know, Squid Game is currently the number one show on Netflix’s Top 10 lists in ninety-four countries around the world, and according to reports, the television series is also the first South Korean show to become the number one show in the United States.

The new number of one hundred and eleven million viewers represents more than half of Netflix’s global subscriber base of two hundred and nine million, which is even more impressive considering that Squid Game doesn’t feature any major stars.
