9ice’s ex-wife Toni Payne addresses absentee parents, says they should not return to complicate things

Media personality, film director, and visual artist, Toni Payne, recently took to her page on Instagram to share her experience with a friend who needed her advice on a personal issue.
According to Payne, the friend in question who is over 30, was approached by his absentee father who purposely made the choice of staying away while he was growing up.
She said such parents should keep staying away and should not try to come and reap where they never sowed. Speaking further on the matter, Payne submitted that such parents should wait for the offended party to come seeking them out if their presence is really needed.
“Allow the offended party come seek you if he or she wants to. Don’t guilt-trip someone you did not give a fck about his welfare as a child,” She said.
Payne added that her friend’s dad was alive and well; raising another family while completely ignoring his son. According to her, she does not know the right advice to give her friend as her convictions on the matter of an absent parent staying away are very strong.
