The married Nigerian comedian, Bovi Ugboma, also known as Bovi, has surprised many with a candid revelation. On his Instagram page, the comedian and actor disclosed that three actresses had proposed marriage to him, despite his own married status.
This surprising turn of events unfolded during the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF), where he received multiple marriage proposals over the course of a year. However, he declined these offers, citing the added responsibilities that accompanied them as his reason for doing so.
“Last night @afriff 3 actresses offered me marriage for a year. I turned them down because the offers came with responsibility”.
Reacting to it, actress Sharon Ooja told the comedian to inform his admirers that she is the new bodyguard for his wife. She promised to teach them a lesson in the streets.
“Look at my guy. My own friend !!! Tell those actresses I’m Kris body guard I go meet them for streets stay blessed”.
Only a few weeks ago, Bovi Ugboma and Kris Asimonye, his wife, stirred reactions with their unconventional wedding renewal. The famous comedian delighted in sharing a cherished video of their vow renewal on the beach, with mariners as the officiating ministers.
This video triggered quite a buzz online, leading to the couple being playfully dubbed “Mr. and Mrs. Mariners.”
Bovi and Kris tied the knot in 2009. In a recent interview on the Tea with Taymesan podcast, Bovi disclosed that he always envisioned marrying a remarkable woman. His dream came true as his wife shared striking similarities with his mother, the most charming person he had ever known.
Bovi also admitted that he initially hadn’t planned on having three children, envisioning only one. Yet, the couple is now blessed with three children.
On their 13th anniversary last year, Bovi credited his wife with transforming him from a ‘wild animal’ into a ‘domestic’ being. He showered praise on her, describing her as ageless and a ‘weapon of mass destruction’ for maintaining her alluring figure and youthful appearance despite giving birth to three children.
