FG suspends Twitter operations indefinitely in Nigeria

The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Information and Communication has suspended indefinitely the use of the microblogging platform, Twitter in Nigeria. The announcement was released this afternoon, the 4th of June through the Twitter account of the Federal Ministry of Information and Communication. This is coming after the Twitter platform suspended, President Buhari’s tweet earlier this week after describing the president’s tweet as offensive.
