FILMING OF BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER RESUMES

Written by on January 18, 2022

Exciting news for lovers of the Marvel Superhero Black Panther, as the movie production is set to resume after nearly two months of unplanned break.

Even though Marvel Studios has not made any confirmation as regards this news, a close source to the production has confirmed that filming starts soon.
If you would recall, Letitia Wright who plays Shuri, T’Challa’s younger sister sustained an injury back in August during an overnight shoot in Boston; the actress was however hurt in an incident involving a stunt rig.

When the delay in production was announced in November, Marvel bosses also revealed that the actress’ injuries were worse than previously thought.
It’s widely assumed that Letitia’s character Shuri will take on a more prominent role in the sequel, and the note makes clear that there’s only so much shooting that can take place without one of the film’s stars.
During a shift of several Marvel Studios titles, Disney moved the Black Panther sequel’s release date from July 8 to November 11, 2022, where it’s expected to remain.
