TORY LANEZ FACES TWENTY-THREE YEARS IMPRISONMENT

Canadian rapper Tory Lanez could face twenty-three years in jail after failing to reach a plea deal in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case, as he is set to go on trial.

According to reports, his defence lawyer Shawn Holley agreed to a December 14 preliminary hearing on behalf of her client.

Prosecutor Kathy Ta told the judge she estimates the preliminary hearing will take about ninety minutes. It’s unclear if Megan will make an appearance or what witnesses the prosecution will bring forward.

The hearing will however decide whether the case will go to trial.

The prosecutor stated, “As in every case, the lawyers for the parties discuss the possibility of resolving the case, and this case is no different. That said, our position as to what did and did not happen in this matter remains unchanged.”
