In a rather shocking twist Ghanaian actress and social media sensation Rosemond Alade Brown popularly known as Akuapem Poloo, has filed another appeal to avoid serving her jail term after the last petition filed by her lawyer was dismissed.
The actress is ready to fight a bit more to stay out of jail, and through her lawyers, she has filed a notice of appeal against the ninety-day jail term handed to her through her lawyers.
Her lawyers are requesting a reversal of the dismissal of an earlier petition seeking a non-custodial sentence for the actress by the High Court.
The lawyers have also filed a notice for bail for Akuapem Poloo who is currently serving her jail term.
Just so you know, her lawyers had filed a petition earlier and it was dismissed by a High Court judge, who ruled that the ninety days’ custodial sentence imposed on her by the Circuit Court was not “excessive” and “harsh”
That ruling now meant that the actress had to go to jail to serve her ninety-days jail term.
