During the segment titled Entertainment Street on the Max Breakfast show, the hosts reacts to reports of Meta shutting down Instagram and Facebook in Europe if the company isnât allowed to process data from its European users on its U.S.-based servers, a change that is currently under regulatorsâ scrutiny.

During its annual report, Metaâs CEO Mark Zuckerberg warned that if the new framework that was being developed no longer allowed the company to use the current model agreements or a similar alternative, it would âprobablyâ no longer be able to provide its products and services to the region.
Meta quietly issued out a warning stating that it could shut down the services if Europe does not let it perform âtransatlantic data transfersâ.
This means transferring peopleâs private data from secure servers in Europe, where they are heavily regulated, to the US.
Meta said that the company will âprobablyâ have to stop offering its âmost significant products and servicesâ if a new framework is not adopted in an annual report to a US government agency,
