Davido Makes History with ‘With You’ as Spotify Nigeria’s Top Debut

Afrobeats icon Davido has achieved another groundbreaking milestone, setting a new record for the highest opening week streams on Spotify Nigeria with his latest hit single, “With You” featuring Omah Lay.

The track earned a massive 4.98 million streams in its first week, breaking the previous record set by Davido’s own song “Funds” featuring OdumoduBlvck and Chike.

This streaming feat adds to a historic week for Davido, who also topped the TurnTable Top 100 with “With You,” marking his 11th No. 1 hit on the chart. The track also secures his legacy as the first artist in Nigerian history to score at least one No. 1 single for six consecutive years (2020–2025).

Davido’s Chart-Topping Streak:

  • “FEM” (2020)

  • “Holy Ground” (2020)

  • “The Best” (2020)

  • “For You” (2021)

  • “Baddest Boy (Remix)” (2022)

  • “No Competition” (2023)

  • “Twe Twe (Remix)” and “With You” (2025)

“With You” is part of Davido’s fifth studio album, 5ive, which has already delivered three chart-topping singles: “Awuke” featuring YG Marley, “Funds”, and “With You.” Since debuting with “FEM” in 2020, Davido’s influence on Nigerian music and global Afrobeats has remained unmatched.

Grammy Nominee, Tour Announced

Following the success of 5ive, the 5-time Grammy nominee is set to embark on the highly anticipated ‘5 Alive’ tour. The 13-date tour will feature stops in the UK, Canada, and across the United States.

Davido will make history once again when he headlines a landmark show at the 60,000-capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, sharing the stage with hip-hop legend 50 Cent and R&B icon Mary J. Blige.

In Canada, fans can catch him live at the Scotiabank Arena (19,000 capacity) and Place Bell (10,000 capacity). The U.S. leg includes major venues like State Farm Arena in Atlanta and Barclays Center in Texas, confirming his dominance on the global stage.
