Remembering Nollywood Actor, Sam Loco Efe, After 7 Years

Born on 25 December 1945, Nollywood legend, Sam Loco Efe was a household name known for his comic characters in the Nigerian movie scene for many years. Up till now, clips of his old movies are still used in comedy skits and social media videos.

Sam Loco passed away on 7 August 2011 in his hotel room in Owerri as a result of what was suspected to be asthma. Had he been alive, the Nigerian actor and director would have clocked 66 years old yesterday.

In remembrance of Sam Loco Efe, his son, Omoruyi published a social media post that read, ‘7 years today. Rest on Dad’.
