Comedian AY apologises to Davido over ‘badly delivered’ joke

Comedian AY Makun has publicly apologized to Davido after making an inappropriate joke about the singer’s private part during a recent show in Warri.
Davido, in response, he expressed no hard feelings towards the comedian.
The veteran comedian took to his Instagram account to issue a heartfelt apology for his remarks during the show. He posted a picture of Davido along with two videos from his performances.
In his caption, he acknowledged that the joke had not landed well in the viral video and apologized, acknowledging that it wasn’t as humorous as he had intended. AY stated,
“I am so sorry for telling that joke the way it came out in Warri. I shouldn’t even call it a joke anymore. It wasn’t funny like it was during my tour of the US and Canada, and you have every right to be angry after seeing how the blogs used it.”
Comedian AY also accepted the criticism he had received for the poorly delivered joke, emphasizing that he deserved it due to his inadequate execution. He concluded, “Please understand that this is a continuous learning process for all of us in the entertainment industry.
“Please know that it is always a learning experience for all of us in the entertainment business. I deserve any backlash or negative thoughts coming my way for the joke that was badly delivered in Warri. So, no excuses at all, my aburo. No reason am. I remain your number one fan, and I love you, @davido,” he concluded
During his performance in Warri, AY made jest of Davido, joking about the singer’s struggle to have children despite his “small preek,” even though he has gone on to father multiple children.
In response to AY’s apology post, Davido reassured him, saying, “Nothing spoil Baba mi❤️” conveying that there were no hard feelings between them.
