Renowned Afrobeat artist, Davido, known for his numerous accolades, is currently on tour and has opened up about his recent struggles with sleepless nights.
The singer shared that he has been experiencing difficulty sleeping since the passing of Mohbad and the controversies surrounding it. Davido expressed that the strong presence of Mohbad’s spirit has left many, including himself, restless and unable to find peace at night.

Earlier, Davido had announced his intention to return to Nigeria to pay his respects at the candlelight event for the late singer, Mohbad.
As one of the first celebrities to express his grief over the loss of the former Marlian signee, Davido disclosed his plans to fly back to Nigeria this week to participate in the candlelight procession and tribute.
The candlelight procession is scheduled to take place on Thursday, September 21st, at the Lekki Phase 1 gate, beginning at 5 pm. Following this, the tribute concert is set to commence at 8 pm at Muri Okunola Park.
Davido received praise from many for his demonstration of respect for the deceased, despite his hectic schedule, highlighting his consistent willingness to be at the forefront of such expressions of condolences.
Notably, in the days preceding this announcement, Davido had stirred mixed reactions from the online community with his heartfelt tribute to the late singer, Mohbad.
While numerous fans and admirers of the late singer offered their condolences to his family, Davido took his tribute to another level by honoring him during his Timeless tour in Manchester. He empathized with the challenges faced by many artists who grapple with personal difficulties yet must step onto the stage to perform for their fans.
Additionally, reports indicate that the singer generously contributed 2 million naira to the family of the late singer. Mohbad’s father conveyed his appreciation for Davido’s financial support, making the news public.
