Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ housemate, Groovy Mono, reflects on his recent experience amid the explosion in Ibadan.
On Tuesday night, it was reported that there was an explosion in Ibadan, Oyo State, inducing panic among residents. The cause remains unknown, but government confirmation and ongoing investigations mark the aftermath.
The explosion wreaked havoc, damaging properties, with the UCH School of Nursing hostel bearing the brunt as its glass windows shattered during the tremor.
Groovy, presently in Ibadan for undisclosed reasons, shares that he directly heard the explosion from his hotel room. Expressing his anxiety, he pleas to a higher power, acknowledging the fear instilled by the images and clips depicting the aftermath of the explosion.
Checking up on others, he questioned if they were all safe.
“I dey Ibadan dey shoot movie oh. Heard the explosion from my hotel room. God Abeg. The pictures & clips I’m seeing are scary. Hope everyone is safe”.
