Nollywood actor Muyiwa Ademola took to his Instagram page to assure fans, friends, and colleagues of his well-being after the Ibadan explosion. Acknowledging the concern and messages flooding in, he wanted to allay fears and shared that he is safe and sound.

In his message, Muyiwa expressed his condolences for the departed souls and those injured, recognizing the somber atmosphere in Ibadan on that unfortunate day. He conveyed his prayers for those affected, acknowledging the gravity of the situation.

“I am hale and hearty everyone.
I have to do this because so many people have been terrified! May the souls of the departed rest in perfect peace and quick recovery to those who are injured. It is a sad day in Ibadan.

I am okay. Thank you all.
I seriously have to do this as I can’t reach everyone trying to reach me. It is such a sad one!”.

On Tuesday night, reports surfaced of an explosion in Ibadan, Oyo State, inducing panic among residents. While the cause remains unconfirmed, the government acknowledged the incident, initiating investigations.

The explosion resulted in property destruction, notably at the UCH School of Nursing hostel where glass windows shattered. Actress Aisha Lawal, present in Bodija during the incident, shared her harrowing experience.

Her ears still ached from the impact as she recounted parking her car initially to buy suya, later relocating to the explosion site.

Expressing gratitude for her safety, Aisha revealed witnessing numerous casualties, questioning the cause of the tragic event. Colleagues flooded her comment section, thanking God for her survival.

Groovy Mono, a participant in Big Brother Naija’s ‘Level Up,’ recounted hearing the explosion from his hotel room in Ibadan. Disturbed by the alarming images, he pleaded with a higher power, checking on others’ safety.
